It seems that the further I go, the younger that our artists are getting. Our next artist came to us via being a BIG winner with his band in the All Access Magazine Summer Youth Competition.  This competition was for artists 18 years old and younger.  It included Deacon, who was also a BIG winner in another category. 

Our new artist is Michael Gossard and his band ACIDIC, and it isn't surprising that Michael was one of the winners in the finals competition, based on his previous competitive spirit.  To touch on that a bit, Michael tried out for the Disney Kids Revival Group, DEVO 2.0, playing guitar.  But he didn't get selected. However, Gerry Casale, the co-founder and original bass player for DEVO, who was there, encouraged him to try out for the Bass position.  Unfortunately, Michael had never played Bass.  But he was told that if he could pick it up for the try-out the next day, he might have a shot at it.  So he proceeded to learn the Bass in ONE NIGHT, tried out the next day, and got selected!!!Buena Vista Records then proceeded to send the band all over the East Coast and Upper Mid-West and provided him with a couple of Custom Basses to boot.  Now how is that for a success story !!

Anyway, Michael, only 15, has his own band now, ACIDIC, and obviously by his success at the All Access Competition, he is on the way to another success story.  Above in the picture, you have JUDGE!!!
